Where Have You Been?

I'm trying to get back into this blog thing, and this sounded like fun - from the lovely Fauve.

Bold the states you’ve been to, underline the states you’ve lived in and italicize the state you’re in now…

Alabama / Alaska / Arizona / Arkansas / California / Colorado / Connecticut / Delaware / Florida / Georgia / Hawaii / Idaho / Illinois / Indiana / Iowa / Kansas / Kentucky / Louisiana / Maine / Maryland / Massachusetts / Michigan / Minnesota / Mississippi / Missouri / Montana / Nebraska / Nevada / New Hampshire / New Jersey / New Mexico / New York / North Carolina / North Dakota / Ohio / Oklahoma / Oregon / Pennsylvania / Rhode Island / South Carolina / South Dakota / Tennessee / Texas / Utah / Vermont / Virginia / Washington / West Virginia / Wisconsin / Wyoming / Washington D.C /

Oh, how I would love to add to this, but travel just doesn't seem possible right now, does it?

Now, I Just Need Some Direction

Helen has verbalized what yesterday meant to me so well, I'm not even going to try.

The Party Begins.....

Watching the inauguration online at work. I wish I was at home on my couch, it's so exciting!

Back to Somewhat Normal?

Ok. So far, so good at work. Things are still scary, but have evened out a bit. I told my boss I was going to be completely gray before we got things rolling.

On the homefront, the boy is back in school after missing three days. He was sick on Tuesday, when they returned from winter break and then again on Wednesday. Of course, then it was time to take him to the doctor. He was dehydrated, but there seems to be no real cause for his nausea. Kids. PITA.

We're going to burn some more Christmas trees at my SIL's house this weekend. We lead exciting lives here in Central Florida, folks. Try to contain your envy. It will be nice to get together with friends and have some wings and watch a bonfire. Good times.

Waiting For The Other Shoe To Drop

I was told yesterday that, in order to keep my job, I would have to take a pay cut. They are hoping that it is temporary, but I'm not sure how we can afford a cut when we can barely pay our bills as it is. Oh well, it's better than unemployment, I guess.

Now I'll just sit here and worry myself half to death. Man, 2008 can't get out of here fast enough. I was hoping for great things in 2009, but it looks as though it will be off to a slow start. Argh!
